Presentation

Maarten Schmitt will speak about the position of
The Hague and it's region at the coast. As the city of The Hague is surrounded by smaller communities in expanding the city The Hague is forced to search for cooperation. Expanding the city to the sea is a second option, also because the coastal defense asks for an offensive strategy. The moment is crucial because of the discussion on coastal defense in relation to the rise of the sea level due to climatic changes.
