Mr. René Steevensz

René Steevensz is a native of the Netherlands and was born in 1951 in Semarang, Indonesia.  He studied Architecture at the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands and graduated in 1976.  Before moving to Chicago in 1983 he worked in The Hague, Vienna, and Rotterdam.  In 1993, he formed the firm of PPKS Architects Ltd. with David Kennedy and Craig Pryde in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.  PPKS practices Architecture and Urban Design in the U.S. and Europe.  He is currently working on the ABN AMRO bank headquarters in Zwolle, Tele Atlas office tower in Gent (Belgium), and the Coolsingel hi-rise theater complex in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

In 1995, Mr. Steevensz was an organizing member for the Congress on Tall Buildings in Amsterdam.  He is currently part of the organizing committee for the Chicago Symposium: Sustainable Communities: Learning From The Dutch Experience (2004) Chicago.
