As interest in environmental issues increase because of more frequent catastrophic weather events, is also evident segregation in the public mind between technology and ecology. There are people who want to hear something about the environment and makes constant demands that taking care of our planet is bad for the economy. There are also people who believe that science, technology and industry are evil and want to return to earth. Both are in serious error.

The first group is wrong for one simple and obvious reason that a healthy environment is necessary for a habitable world. Without that, the quality of life dramatically, which is produced by the economy. The island nation is sinking into the sea, the oceans turn to acid, coastal flooding, and all sorts of catastrophic weather events that take place, which is threatened not only the lives of many people but also the quality of life of the rest. Since the premise of economics is to improve people’s lives, this puts a lie to this requirement, as long as people who claim to be interested in the economic well-being remains aggressive interest in the health of the environment.
